Dari total 1.522.162 peserta UN tingkat SMA/MA, sebanyak 1.362.696 siswa dinyatakan lulus, sedangkan 154.079 (10,12%) tidak lulus.

Siswa yang tidak lulus harus mengikuti UN ulangan yang akan diselenggarakan 10–14 Mei mendatang. Di beberapa provinsi, hasil UN bahkan sangat mengejutkan.Di Gorontalo, misalnya, ketidaklulusan UN mencapai 46,22%, naik dari tahun lalu di bawah 10%.Demikian pula di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY), angka ketidaklulusan UN mencapai 23,7%, naik dibanding tahun 2009 sekitar 7%. Hanif mengatakan, Komisi X DPR bersama Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional (Kemendiknas) akan mencari pendekatan evaluasi pendidikan yang lebih tepat.

Menurutnya, UN bukan sebagai satu-satunya alat evaluasi pendidikan. “Ke depan seperti apa evaluasinya, akan dibicarakan dulu bersama-sama. Karena evaluasi pendidikan tidak hanya melalui UN, tapi juga standar,proses, sarana, dan prasarana,”katanya. Koordinator Koalisi Pendidikan Lody F Paat menilai penurunan tingkat kelulusan UN tahun ini sudah seharusnya dijadikan bahan pemerintah untuk mengevaluasi keberadaan UN.

Menurut dia,evaluasi model UN tidak bisa digunakan lagi untuk melihat mutu pendidikan baik pada murid atau guru. Sudah saatnya evaluasi pendidikan diserahkan kepada pihak guru dan sekolah.“Pemerintah harus kembali ke aturan Undang-Undang (UU) Guru dan Dosen.Adalah otoritas guru untuk mengevaluasi pendidikan peserta didik,” kata Lody yang juga Dosen Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) ini.

Jangan Putus Asa

Anggota Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP) Mungin Eddy Wibowo meminta agar peserta UN menerima dengan berjiwa besar hasil UN.“Apa pun hasil yang terjadi besok merupakan hasil kerja yang sudah dilakukan peserta didik.Namun bagi yang tidak lulus, akan ada UN ulangan mulai 10 Mei nanti,” kata Mungin saat dihubungi SI tadi malam. Dia mengimbau agar para peserta didik tidak perlu putus asa dengan hasil UN yang diterimanya.

Dia meminta bagi yang tidak lulus tetap rajin belajar.“Jangan pernah berpikir bahwa ikut UN ulangan pasti lulus.Tetap saja kalau tidak belajar secara sungguh-sungguh, yatidak akan lulus,”katanya. Mungin menegaskan, tingkat kelulusan siswa peserta UN 2010 masih bisa berubah.Alasannya siswa yang tidak lulus diberi kesempatan mengulang mata pelajaran yang nilainya masih kurang. “Namun yang perlu diperhatikan,UN ulangan memiliki prosedur yang sama dengan UN utama,”kata Mungin.

Menurut Mungin, dalam ujian ulangan nanti, tingkat kesulitan soal dan pengawasan sama dengan UN utama. Dengan demikian, siswa yang mengikuti UN ulangan belum pasti lulus. “Kalau siswa yang tidak lulus dalam UN utama tidak belajar dari pengalaman tersebut, bisa saja yang bersangkutan kembali tidak lulus,”katanya. Dari Surabaya, Jawa Timur, sebanyak 1.527 dari 23.917 siswa SMA/MA terpaksa harus mengikuti UN ulangan.Mereka dinyatakan tidak lulus saat mengikuti UN utama.

Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Surabaya Sahudi menuturkan, UN ulangan akan digelar pada 10 Mei bulan depan. Dia berharap dalam tenggat waktu yang tinggal dua minggu ini, siswa belajar sebaik mungkin. ”Saya minta siswa bisa pergunakan waktu dengan belajar supaya lulus,”katanya. Kepala Bidang (Kabid) Pendidikan Menengah Kejuruan (Dikmenjur) Dinas Pendidikan Surabaya Ruddy Winarko menandaskan, pihaknya akan secara langsung mendata siswa yang tidak lulus UN utama untuk diikutkan UN ulangan.

Di tempat terpisah, sebanyak 14.324 (3,83%) siswa dari 344.672 siswa SMA/MA/SMK di Jawa Barat (Jabar) tak lulus UN sehingga harus mengulang pada UN ulangan yang digelar pada 10–14 Mei 2010. Tingkat kelulusan di Jabar untuk SMA 97,14%,MA 97,33% dan SMK 94,04%.Angka tersebut menurun dibandingkan tahun lalu yang mencapai rata-rata mencapai 98%.“Kita akan segera evaluasi,” kata Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Jabar Wahyudin Zarkasyi.

Los Angeles Downtown News reported that USC has received $10 million from the Annenberg Foundation to establish a scholarship fund. The grant will be divided evenly between the USC Annenberg School and the Keck School of USC. The fund, which will award up to $35,000 per year to recipients at the Keck School and $25,000 per year to recipients at the Annenberg School, is expected to support as many as 17 students. Susno Duadji - Ousted National Police chief detective Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji is back, not in his capacity as an active police general, but as a news maker. His return to the limelight also draws a big question mark on what exactly has been going on in the police institution.

Susno Ditangkap - After a four-month hiatus from active duty since his removal from the police force’s prestigious position on Nov. 24, 2009, following his “gecko versus crocodile” statement and his high-profile testimony before the House of Representatives’ Bank Century special inquiry committee on Nov. 27, 2009, the three-star general has been making headlines in the national media lately with his controversial claim that the force is plagued by graft.

Susno’s televised statement last week, implicating two police generals as case brokers in a Rp 25 billion (US$2.75 million) money laundering and tax evasion case, shocked not only his former colleagues, but also the general public.

The question is who should we trust? The two generals – Brig. Gen. Raja Erizman and Brig. Gen. Edmon Ilyas – have denied the accusations as vehemently as Susno has made them.

Another question is, what organization should have the authority to verify Susno’s claim and investigate it?

It is undeniably difficult to trust either Susno or the two police generals. Susno’s unpopular “gecko versus cro-codile” statement in July, 2009, at the height of the Corruption Eradication Commission’s (KPK) investigation into judicial corruption by Anggodo Widjojo, which also implicated Susno, has given the public good reason to not trust him.

On top of that, Susno was also allegedly involved in the unwarranted release of $18 million from the then frozen Bank Century to one of the bank’s largest depositors, Boedi Sampoerna. His alleged involvement was uncovered during a wiretapped phone conversation with the latter’s lawyer in April 2009. Susno has denied his involvement in the Century case, but he has not yet testified before a court.

Similarly, according to research by various anticorruption organizations, the police force ranks among the top five most corrupt institutions in the country making it hard for the public to trust denials from Raja and Edmon.

An inquiry into Susno’s claims must be conducted to find out who is indeed telling the truth. The National Police should, obviously, not be in charge of any investigation into the claims, instead it should be carried out by the Attorney General’s Office or the KPK – the two institutions with investigative authority beside the police – to avoid conflict of interest.

The police’s premature interrogation of Susno, whatever motive is behind it, is out of line as again it will neglect the universal principles of objectivity and impartiality of an investigation by other law enforcement institutions.

It is true that the police have the right to summon Susno for internal questioning as he is still an active member of the force. But, the substance of the questioning by the police’s internal affairs division should only be in line its disciplinary authority within the police institution and not expanded to alleged graft practices in the police force.

Handing over the authority to investigate the claims made by Susno to either the AGO or the KPK is not in anyway a slight to the police institution’s investigative capability. It is merely a move made for the sake of impartiality.

Tiger Woods Scandals - They say professional golf is an equal opportunity sport. They are liars.
They say any great golfer can win the Masters. They are wrong. The proof is in front of me now, on the 13th fairway at Augusta National, attempting to walk briskly to his ball, taking a painful detour through middle age. Fred Couples stops, twists his back to the right, winces, twists his back to the left, winces, starts walking again, twisting, wincing, walking.

Could he hold up?

No, of course not.

Tiger Woods - A day after becoming the oldest man to the lead the Masters after one round, Couples, 50, became the latest older man to crumble here. Hours after beginning his second round with a second-hole birdie, Couples finished it with three consecutive bogeys.

A short putt on No. 16 was long. A short putt on No. 17 was wide. An average putt on No. 18 was pulled. A 6-under par became a 3-under par. First place became a tie for ninth.

The cheers that greeted him coming down the final fairway were reduced to scattered sympathetic claps, then nothing. The man who regally stalked this course a day earlier suddenly looked stooped and slow.

Later he stood in front of a thin rope and answered the thinnest of questions from a handful of reporters.

"As soon as I get home and lay down I'll be fine," Couples said. "But right now I'm tired and [angry], to be honest with you."

He was not alone. Others were feeling the same way after placing their hope for this Tiger-tied tournament in Couples' everyman hands.

C'mon, Couples could have won this, right? He was outhitting the younger guys. On a course where he won in 1992, he was outthinking nearly everyone else. Sure, he would be the oldest man to win a Masters by four years, but Tom Watson nearly won the British Open last year at 59. Couples could pull it off here, couldn't he?

"To win Augusta at age 50 would be a pipe dream," he smilingly admitted after his first round.

He knew. The rest of us soon learned. Sure enough, on a clear, chilly Friday, the pipe burst.

"For older guys here, it's just not easy," said his playing partner Sergio Garcia. "They're not as strong. This takes a lot out of them."

On Friday, age first took it out of his back.

Couples long has struggled with back problems and has lately started playing with tennis shoes and no socks. But on Friday the ground was still wet from Thursday night's rain, so he wore spikes and spent the day wincing and stretching in apparent pain.

"For a while I felt like I could go from first to last," he said of the back.

Then, as it usually does, age took it out of his short game.

He missed par putts late, birdie putts early, and truly showed his age on the final hole when, sitting on the fringe of the green, he hit an easier-to-control putter instead of a wedge. It was a wrong club choice, but he had no choice. The shot was duffed, setting up a par putt that was missed.

"Kind of not a whole lot of fun at the moment," Couples said. But that's the way it is."

Indeed it is, the tournament led by thirtysomethings Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter, Couples now sitting in the distance with another guy who struggled over par Friday, Watson.

They are in consecutive pairings Saturday, 110 years worth of hope against hope, the Pipe Dream team.

Gempa Aceh yang tadi pagi melanda wilayah Provinsi Aceh, dapat terasa sampai wilayah Sumatra Barat, Padang.Gempa yang terjadi di Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam pada Rabu pagi, dirasakan juga goncangannya di Kota Padang, Sumatra Barat.

"Sekitar pukul 06.00 pagi kami merasakan beberapa kali guncangan gempa," kata Natasia (30), warga Gunung Pangilun Padang.Natasia mengatakan, pada saat gempa , dirinya bersama keluarga masih tidur.

"Tempat tidur kami terasa digoyang-goyang. Hal yang sama juga dirasakan suami saya," kata ibu beranak dua itu.

Meski digoyang gempa, Natasia mengaku tidak begitu khawatir, karena guncangan gempa tidak terlalu besar.

Hal sama diakui Manajer Pusat Data dan Pengendalian Operasi Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Sumbar, Ade Edwar.

"Ada sekitar lima kali gempa yang terasa. Magnitude-nya antara 5 hingga 7 skala Richter," katanya.

Ade mengimbau masyarakat Sumbar tetap waspada terhadap kemungkinan terjadi gempa di daerah itu.

Before accepting her current position as principal at Brockway, Knapp spent one year as an elementary assistant principal after teaching fifth grade for four years — all in the Winston-Dillard District. Knapp grew up in Roseburg, where both her parents were educators. She graduated from Roseburg High School in 1992, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Oregon State University, and then a master’s degree and Continuing Administrative License from the University of Oregon.

Although she doesn’t officially take over the job until July 1, Knapp said she plans to start spending lots of time in Reedsport beginning in April, and is excited to start looking for a place to live.

“I spent a lot of time with my family at the bay and in Reedsport during summer months, so it’s a place I’ve always really been drawn to,” Knapp said during a phone interview Friday. “It was great to meet everybody when I interviewed there. Reedsport seems like a very welcoming community.”

Beginning in April, she said, she will be working with other school administrators on Highland’s annual school improvement plan, focusing on the changes and gains she hopes to see made in the school’s core subjects of reading, writing and math.

The hiring process

The Reedsport School District received 33 applications for the position of Highland’s new principal. The six-member screening committee included school board member Kevin Van Syoc, teachers Cathy Holmgreen and Jeff Mason, school secretary Sharon Fegles, district administrative assistant Robyn Mead, and Great Afternoons director Chris Marsh.

After reviewing the applications, that committee selected 10 of the 33 applicants for interviews.

Scott Hall was the school board member on the eight-person interview committee, which included Launstein, math and reading coach Julee Noel, teacher Amanda Rice, Reedsport Community Charter School principal Laura Davis, Highland office manager Theresa Bunch, maintenance supervisor Bill Brown, and Susie Chaney, a parent whose child attends Highland Elementary.

This group then interviewed several candidates from Oregon, from out-of-state, and even from outside the United States, Launstein said. A three-person committee traveled to two schools as part of the background reference process, before offering the position to Knapp.

Ketika sedang mencari berita, malahan yang didapat adalah adanya orang yang membuat Pin Nabi Muhammad. ternyata sang pembuat Pin Nabi tersebut adalah orang yang mengerti tentang agama Islam, makanya hukuman yang harus dibrikan harus sangat keras dan sesuai dengan apayang dia lakukan terhadap Umat Islam dan Agama Islam. Janag sampai dibiarkan begitu saja orang yang telah menghina Nabi Muhammad SAW.

Apapun alasannya tak dapat kita terima, pelaku pembuat Pin Nabi Muhammad tersebut harus dihukum dengan Hukum Islam, karena yang dihina adalah Nabi Muhammad sebagai nabi umat Islam. Semoga saja para pelaku serta penyebar pin nabi tersebut mendapatkan hukuman yang sesuai.

Makassa (ANTARA News) - Ketua Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Sulawesi Selatan (Sulsel) KH Sanusi Baco LC, dengan tegas dalam fatwanya mengharamkan pengedaran gambar dan foto-foto yang dianggap sebagai wajah dan sosok Nabi Muhammad SAW.

"MUI Sulsel mengeluarkan fatwa haram terhadap usaha untuk mengedarkan gambar dan foto-foto yang dianggap sebagai Nabi Muhammad SAW," kata KH Sanusi Baco di Makassar, Kamis.

Menurutnya, foto maupun gambar Nabi Muhammad SAW sudah tidak ada sejak 15 abad yang lalu, jadi mustahil jika sekarang ini ada sekelompok orang menganggap pin dan stiker yang beredar adalah benar wajah nabi dan Rasul Muhammad SAW.

"Perbuatan ini adalah bentuk dari penistaan agama, " tegasnya.

Fatwa ini dikeluarkan terkait dengan beredarnya pin dan stiker yang dianggap sebagai Nabi Muhammad SAW, yang diedarkan oleh Bahanda (31), warga Dusun Romang Polong, Kecamatan Samata, Kabupaten Gowa dan Herianto (35) warga Jalan Andi Tonro III, Kecamatan Tamalate Makassar.

Kedua orang yang sempat kuliah di salah satu universitas di Iran ini mengakui jika gambar tersebut berasal dari negara timur tengah ini.

Sanusi Baco menegaskan bahwa perbuatan tersebut merupakan penistaan agama dan terdapat dua hal yang diharamkan MUI, pertama para pembuat, pendesain dan pencetak pin dan stiker dan kedua adalah para pengedarnya.

Dia mengutip salah satu hadits nabi yang berbunyi; `bahagia orang yang melihat saya (Nabi Muhammad SAW) lalu dia beriman. Dan lebih berbahagia lagi yang beriman padaku (Nabi Muhammad SAW) walau tanpa melihat wajahku.`

Orang yang tiap hari melihat wajah Rasul, Abu Djahil, namun tidak bahagia karena dia selalu menistakan agama Islam dan Nabi sehingga Abu Djahil diberi gelar "Bapak Kebodohan"

"Mungkin seperti itu orang-orang kita saat ini, sudah banyak orang yang menistakan agama," ujarnya.

Selain itu, kiyai ini juga meminta kepada aparat kepolisian untuk menindak secara hukum pelaku pengedaran ini karena kasus ini telah menjadi bentuk penistaan agama Islam

Kembali marak lagi satu isu atau kabar tentang Klub Poligami Bandung, klub ini bersal dari negeri jiran malaysia. Dengan ramianya pembicaran tentang klub poligami ini, kita kembali harus dikejutkan dan diberi keramian. Namun namanya di dunia, itu hal yang biasa serta lumrah.

Dalam masalah Klub poligami ini, kita hanya bisa melihat dan punya pendapat masing - masing tentang hal itu. Kita lihat saja Video Klub Poligami tersebut.

Jakarta-Surya- Setelah sukses menjaring 300 anggota yang tersebar di berbagai negara, sebuah klub poligami asal Malaysia melebarkan sayap dengan membuka cabangnya di Indonesia. Dalam peresmiannya di Bandung (Jawa Barat) akhir pekan lalu, sekitar 150 orang dari seluruh Indonesia terlibat dan memeriahkan peresmian klub poligami Indonesia tersebut.

Tak tanggung-tanggung, Chodijah binti Am, Ketua Global Ikhwan Poligami Malaysia, hadir langsung di acara tersebut. Sebetulnya Chodijah jugalah yang memprakarsai berdirinya klub poligami Indonesia.
Chodijah mengatakan, sebelum meresmikan klub poligami di Bandung itu, dirinya telah berkeliling Indonesia untuk menyampaikan misi tentang poligami.

Dalam peresmian klub poligami Indonesia di hotel berbintang lima, Grand Aquila Bandung, para tamu undangan yang umumnya ibu-ibu datang dari berbagai wilayah di Indonesia. Di antaranya ada yang dari Papua, Jakarta, Tasikmalaya dan Garut.

Di samping peresmian klub poligami, dalam kegiatan yang bertema `Poligami Obat Mujarab Untuk Mendapatkan Cinta Allah` itu, digelar juga konser musik, operet dan penjelasan mengenai poligami.
Chodijah Binti Am mengatakan, klub poligami tersebut awal mulanya diresmikan di Malaysia. Untuk Indonesia, Global Ikhwan berencana mendirikan cabang klub poligami yang dimulai dari daerah-daerah di Jawa dan Sumatra, kemudian meluas ke seluruh Indonesia.

“Sebelum meresmikan klub poligami di Bandung, saya sudah berkeliling Indonesia untuk menyampaikan misi tentang poligami,” katanya ketika dihubungi kantor berita Antara.
Menurut Chodijah, klub poligami di Malaysia sekarang sudah berjalan dengan lancar. Bahkan sekarang klub poligami sudah memiliki 300 anggota yang tersebar di berbagai negara, seperti Indonesia, Australia, Singapura, Timur Tengah, Thailand dan masih banyak lagi.

Ia menjelaskan, kenapa poligami menjadi obat mujarab untuk mendapatkan cinta Allah. Sebab, dengan poligami seseorang akan senantiasa mengalami kesusahan dalam hidupnya.
“Ketika dia dalam kesusahan, maka dia akan meminta pertolongan kepada Allah. Kesusahan yang dialami seorang istri yang suaminya berpoligami sifatnya terus menerus, maka dia pun akan terus meminta tolong kepada Allah,” ujarnya.

Ia mengaku, sebagai wanita awalnya dirinya juga menolak ketika suaminya berpoligami. Bahkan seluruh keluarganya pun melakukan hal yang sama. Alasannya, mereka takut Chodijah tidak bahagia dan terlantar jika suaminya memiliki istri lebih dari satu.

Tapi, ia melanjutkan, setelah selama 30 tahun menjalani hidup sebagai seorang istri yang dipoligami, justru Chodijah mendapatkan cinta Allah, karena senantiasa berkomunikasi dengan-Nya.
Chodijah tidak memungkiri, kalau pendirian klub poligami di Indonesia ini akan menimbulkan penentangan dari berbagai pihak apalagi kaum hawa. Hal itu juga terjadi di Malaysia ketika pertama kali dideklarasikan, namun sekarang semua sudah bisa menerimanya.

Makanya, jika deklarasi klub poligami Indonesia mendapatkan penentangan, itu hal yang wajar. Tapi, kata Chodijah, apabila poligami sudah dipahami hakikatnya, maka mereka, khususnya kaum wanita, pasti akan menerimanya.
“Di Indonesia saat ini ada 30 keluarga yang bergabung dalam klub poligami,” katanya.

Mapolin Sambut Baik
Chodijah bersuamikan Ashaari Muhammad. Ashaari memiliki 38 anak, delapan di antaranya dengan Chodijah, yang menjadi istri keduanya. Dari anak-anak tersebut, 23 orang mengekor kelakuan orangtuanya dengan melakukan poligami.
Pemerintah Malaysia terus mengawasi sepak terjang klub tersebut. Malaysia menilai ajaran klub ini sesat dan hanya menjadi perpanjangan tangan kelompok Al-Arqam yang pernah didirikan Ashaari sebelumnya.

“Nama dan kemasannya mungkin berbeda, namun orang-orang yang berada di balik klub poligami ini sama dengan mereka yang mendirikan Al Arqam,” jelas Wan Mohamad Sheikh Abdul Aziz, Direktur Umum Departemen Pengembangan Islam Malaysia.

Ashaari mendirikan Al Arqam tahun 1969. Tahun 1990-an, total anggota kelompok ini mencapai 10.000 orang di seluruh dunia. Pada Okober 1994, pemerintah Malaysia memutuskan untuk melarang organisasi ini beraktivitas karena menilai ajarannya tidak sesuai agama Islam.

Sementara itu, Masyarakat Poligami Indonesia (Mapolin) menyambut baik pembukaan klub poligami di Indonesia. Pembentukan organisasi ini dapat memerangi pendapat minor soal poligami.
“Secara filosofis itu bagus dan dapat memerangi opini negatif soal poligami. Menurut saya, makin banyak organisasi poligami makin baik untuk perkembangan poligami,” kata Sekretaris Jenderal (Sekjen) Mapolin, Fauzan Al Anshari ketika dihubungi, Senin (19/10).

Meski mendukung organisasi tersebut, Fauzan menyatakan Mapolin memiliki perbedaan pandangan dengan Gobal Ikhwan Poligami. Perbedaan ini berkaitan dengan jumlah istri yang boleh dinikahi. Global Ikhwan berpendapat maksimal hanya 4 istri yang boleh dinikahi, sedangkan Mapolin berpendapat bisa lebih dari 4.

“Kita berpendapat menurut kemampuan yang ada, jadi tidak dibatasi seperti itu,” kata Fauzan yang memiliki 4 istri dan 22 anak ini.
Menurut Fauzan, poligami merupakan solusi terbaik daripada selingkuh. Namun, selama ini, ada pandangan negatif dari masyarakat terhadap poligami.
“Ini kan membantu mereka (kaum perempaun-Red) mengatasi masalah. Yang penting, hak-hak istri terjamin,” ujar Fauzan.

Kata dia, poligami merupakan ajaran agama dan menjadi solusi bagi problem wanita. Misalkan, ada wanita yang ditinggal suaminya kerja ke luar negeri. Wanita tersebut lama tidak mendapat nafkah dari sang suami. Lalu, dia tidak ada yang mengurus.

“Atas belas kasihan itu, kita nikahi saja wanita itu,” sambungnya.
Fauzan bersama kelompoknya mengaku tidak setuju dengan aturan perkawinan yang ada di dalam UU Nomor 1 Tahun 1974 tentang Perkawinan. Sebab, UU itu akan mengkriminalkan orang yang melakukan poligami maupun nikah secara siri.tis/iks/ant/nst
